I’ve been absent, and for that, I apologize. Blogging regularly, as you can probably tell, is not my strong suit. I have been busy, though. My writer’s group is planning a retreat for next weekend. More accurately, I am planning a writer’s retreat for my writing group. This has not been an easy process. The most complicated part has been collecting the money, of course. Getting people to commit and pay in advance is difficult at best, and a terrible headache. I’ve drawn up an itinerary with workshops, brainstorming sessions, critique sessions, and lots of writing time. I’m pretty excited about how it’s coming together. My only issue is, the workshop slots I have are kind of “open.” We haven’t managed to come up with workshop topics. I don’t mind letting them be critique sessions or something similar, but I like a little structure.
I’m turning to you, dear readers. What do you propose writers “should” talk about at a retreat?
